FLAX SHIVES FOR HORSE BEDDING
CABALUX is a plant stable bedding that originates from the stalk of the flax plant. During scutching the plant is split up into long fibre, short fibre, flax seed, flax chaff and flax shives.
- Long and short fibres are then used in the textile industry.
- Flax seed is used for, amongst other things, the manufacture of linseed oil.
- Flax chaff goes directly into the cattle feed.
- Flax shives are the raw ingredients of CABALUX.
The remarkable thing about flax is that it is sown and harvested afresh every year. Flax shives are therefore a renewable ingredient, grown in an environmentally friendly way and completely biodegradable.
